Sky Terrace @ Dawson has won the RIBA Award for International Excellence for 2016.
Sky Terrace is an ambitious new exploration of social housing in Singapore which include goals of 50% cheaper construction than typical private developments, natural ventilation and the creation of units where three generations of the same family can live together.
This project has broken new ground for public housing in Singapore and includes features which when incorporated in future public housing will improve the living environment of the vast majority of Singaporeans.

SCDA's design for Ayala Land's Park Central Towers was featured in three major Philippine publications. The high end residential towers will rest on a vast 15,860-square metre parcel adjacent to another Ayala Land Premier project, the Roxas Triangle Towers—completing the Roxas Triangle block.
The building’s unique architectural design includes special four-storey high common spaces called Sky Terraces that will house either a gym, swimming pools, residents’ lounge or spas. ArchDaily - A preview of SCDA's most recent luxury high-rise residential project in Jakarta, the design of the Arzuria sales gallery reflects the project’s clean lines and sculptural form. Housing an exhibition space and sales offices, as well as two fully furnished and fitted-out typical units, the gallery spans over two levels connected by an origami-inspired, blackened steel staircase. SkyTerrace @ Dawson by SCDA, led by Soo K. Chan, has been listed as one of 30 buildings in contention for the new RIBA International Prize for Architecture.
SCDA was commissioned by Singapore's Housing Development Boiard (HDB) in 2008 to explore new possibilities in public housing design. The project has won numerous awards, including a Jury Award at the Architizer A+ Awards 2016, the Excellence Award for the Skyrise Greenery Awards 2015, and Best Residential High Rise Architecture for Singapore and Asia Pacific at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2014 – 2015.
